I heard a lot of good things about it so I wanted to see what the hype is about. So I went to see In Her Shoes yesterday.
They pulled it off in spades! I disagree with everyone who said they were disappointed with the movie.

The story of 'In Her Shoes' is basically like this. Straight-laced Rose (Collette) breaks off relations with her party girl sister, Maggie (Diaz), over an indiscretion involving Rose's boyfriend. The chilly atmosphere is broken with the arrival of Ella (MacLaine), the grandmother neither sister knew existed.

The dialog is stellar, although Cameron Diaz is terribly bad.
I'll definitely be going to the movie again, and probably more than once!
